12:00 p.m. - Native Plants in the Landscape

Discover the beauty and benefits of incorporating native plants into your garden. Learn how these resilient species support pollinators, conserve water, and create a thriving, low-maintenance landscape.


1:00 p.m. - Season Extension: Extend the Growing Period 

Don’t let the frost stop your harvest. This session explores simple techniques and tools to keep your garden growing well into the cooler months.


2:00 p.m. - Planting Garlic in the Fall 

Fall is the perfect time to plant garlic for a flavorful summer harvest. Learn when, where, and how to plant garlic for strong bulbs and bold taste.


3:00 p.m. - Milk Jug Winter Sowing Make-and-Take Workshop 

Start your garden early with this fun and easy winter sowing method using recycled milk jugs. Participants will create their own mini greenhouse to take home and grow hardy seedlings.

1:00 p.m. - 2025 Dispatch Backyard Garden Awards Winner's Ceremony

The Central Ohio Home & Design Show will showcase and announce the winners of the Dispatch Backyard Garden Awards selected by a judging panel of Ohio State Master Gardener Volunteers. Winners will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Dispatch AtHome section and get to take home prizes up to $3000 in Ohio Mulch gift cards.
