2026 CONTESTS
The Dispatch Backyard Garden Awards presented by Ohio Mulch celebrates the best local backyard gardens in six categories: Best Home Landscaping, Best Vegetable Garden, Best Container Garden, Best Community Garden, Best Native Plant Garden, and Best Perennial Garden. Submissions are received starting in June and winners are announced at a ceremony at the Central Ohio Home & Design Show at 1pm on August 30.
The DIY Before & After Photo Contest sponsored by Haus Studio celebrates real‑life transformations created by DIYers of all experience levels. From full room refreshes to small, renter‑friendly upgrades, this contest highlights how creativity, problem‑solving, and personal style can completely transform a space. Submissions are received July 10-Aug 10. Winners are featured on signage at the Central Ohio Home & Designs Show, August 28-30, 2026.
