Meet the Artists
The Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS) is a collection of artists and art lovers sharing a common interest in outdoor painting. OPAS is proud to be at the forefront of the resurgent plein air movement in the United States. From the French en plein air, or “in open air”; plein air artists work outside, in natural lighting conditions, capturing the ephemeral atmospheric and lighting conditions. Members represent nearly every county in Ohio, and from each of the surrounding states. OPAS is a nonprofit organization and welcomes and supports artists, patrons, educators, and enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, backgrounds and interests.
Robin Roberts is the current president of the Ohio Plein Air Society. He is represented locally by the Hayley Gallery in New Albany, Ohio where he will have a solo show in November of 2019. His goal is to capture the beauty of God’s creation in paint. For more info, visit my website at RobinRobertsFineArt.com

Art has entrieged Vasil since she can remember and she took every art class in high school available. She enjoys being outside painting en plein air—seeing the sunlight`s drama on objects outside inspires her to try to capture it.
Grguras’ paintings are an expression of how she sees and feels about the natural world—its beautiful diversity, as well as its order and logic. She has been painting outside for about 15 years, providing her a spiritual quality of both the pastoral and the urban landscape.
